polynomial question....

suppose Q(x) is a quadratic polynomial and P(x) is a cubic one, then the eq. P(x)= Q(x) has atmost 3 roots. since 3<= n< n+1 and the question says that the above eq. has atleast n+1 distinct solutions which simply is not possible. so the ans is c.
