Aggregate marks question.?

Jyoti
Hi, I'm currently doing B.sc Eco from calcutta university. I have maths and stats as my pass(general) subjects and economics as a honors subject.

When I see the eligibility for most colleges, they something like they want 50% marks in aggregate...does that mean 50% marks including the pass papers as well or just the honors papers.?
Calcutta University awards the division according to honors papers only, say for example I get 60% marks in economics, then I'd have passed with first division even if I get like 35% in maths and stats.

I'm waiting for my results right now and most likely it would be something like this:

Economics(Hons. papers) 60%
Maths 35%
Stats 35%

Does that make me illegible for admissions in one of the better colleges.?
BTW, the marks are not representative of my skills in maths and stats, I just didn't care about those papers as CU don't give a shit about them, nobody does around here.

Please let me know, I may have posted this earlier and maybe it got deleted, i'm not sure. Is this a stupid question.? God knows, I'm panicking like a crazy ****

Hi Jyoti,

I suggest you contact the students office of the various institutes that you aspire for; to get a more comprehensive idea about their method of aggregation of marks. The contact information will be easily available on the website of the institute.

Good Luck with your results!
