For this question, didn't anybody approach it via making a simple graph? It was coming a parabola with a vertex at 1/2, 1/4 I guess. How was it boundlessly decreasing? :(

@ashima: Mine was also a guess based logical attempt. However parabola curve as you said will be b/w dx/dt and x, while in question we had to figure x v/s t.. which will be some weird expression like t=x/(x^2-x)..

jo bhi tha, this was hell of a question! :)

Did you solve those 3 questions in which first question had to determine slope of an IS curve?

no need to make the graph...just follow that dx/dt equation has 2 roots at x=0 and 1.
for all x<=0, dx/dt<0, hence x will decrease boundlessly with time to -infinity.
apply the same for other intervals as asked by question...
