Hi there!
A new member to this forum, so go easy please! ;)
I am an engineer graduated from a reputed Mumbai college, are there any of our breed lurking around? :)
To the point now. I have been mulling switching sides over to economics for a while now. Imo, Economics will allow me to make decisions more at a macro level than a higher degree in my engg specialization would allow me to. Do you think this is true? or is this a case of grass being greener on the other side? Moreover, I wonder what aptitude does an 'economist' possess? (if that is the right word to use)
Anyways, I've begun looking at the exam syllabus at ISI, IGIDR trying to understand the level of preparation required.
Any opinion appreciated. Much thanks!
