CDS 2014 (Question 8 )

MomoChan
By the method of elimination, I'm getting C.

Is eliminating the options given the price constraints the only way of solving it?
When I equate the Qd of P < 5 and Qs I'm getting P = 5.5 which is absurd. If I add all the demand functions I'm getting P = 8 which means the consumers in P < 5 and 5 ≤P≤7 brackets will exit.
