Convergency Divergency

Please help with establishing the convergency or divergency of the series

1/2^p +3/2^p + 4/3^p......


2) 1+1/2^2 +2^2/3^3 + 3^3/4^4....

@anjali..notice the part 2/2^p+3/3^p+...  it can be written as 1/2^(p-1)+1/3^(p-1)+...  hence the general term 1/n^(p-1)

There is one error in the summation in the solution above..the limit must be from 2 to infinity rather than from 0 to infinity
