Can you please give the solution. I searched about it on the forum but a proper method of proceeding isn't there. Please help !!

its an example of binomial population..in this we calculate the z-statistic using the following formula

 |z|=|p - p'|/sqrtof((p'(1-p'))/n)... here p=30/400=0.075 p'=0.1, n=400 From this Z=1.66...

for 26 i have used difference of means test...refer ssc gupta for that

this Z = 1.66 is the calculated value of Z

now from Z tables  the critical value is 1.645 for a two tailed test..

since Z calculated> z critical ...we reject the null hypothesis of p'=0.1

just refer to type 1 and type 2 error videos of jb statistics...its on youtube(  just write "type 1 and type 2 errors statistics" in the search box)...they have explained for both single tail and double tail
