What is the rationale behind DSE keeping the original documents of its students?

as far as i nw...acc to d ugc rules no universty can keep d original certificates..
I suggest u to go through ugc rules once n make a point dre at dse..

Is there any chance that DSE will give me back my documents for a few weeks (during my stay at DSE), if I need them urgently and genuinely?
