In the form did they ask whether we want to attempt the entrance through the economics route or the maths route anywhere?

No there wasn't. I've heard that they ask you about the option at the time of the test only.

It's written in the website that

"There is only one entrance test for all candidates, regardless of their previous degree."

I don't think there will be any option this time. DSE has removed the option B question papers from their website and have written it clearly in the Handbook that there will be only one kind of entrance exam.
