i am getting the ans  as d)4/45. however, according to the answer key, b is the answer.
sharing my approach.
kindly tell me where i am going wrong.

2 cards have to be selected from 10 . so the total no. is 10C2. = 45
p+q=10 can be in the following possible ways
1,9
2,8
3,7
4,6. ie :4.
which gives us 4/45.
i have one more doubt here.
will we count 1,9 as 1way or as 2 ways..
in that case will the ans be 8/45. ( but that is nowhere in the option.)
please help.!

why arent we counting each possibility twice.
as in why isnt it 8/45..?

Correct Answer is 4/45 only.
Also (1,9) and (9,1) are not different outcomes.
