How important are models like Lewis and Harris Todaro for dse? There were a few questions from DTE last year so guess we need to be on the safer side. Anyway, is anyone doing these models?

Are you talking about the question in which the landlord gets back 60% of what he lents out? Or are there other questions as well?

Hey MR,

Yes. I was only able to attempt that question because I did credit from Debraj Ray. Also, there were questions on Gini coefficient. Although, Gini coefficient doesn't exclusively come under DTE, but I guess most of us did it because we'd done that in DTE.

So, now I'm just pondering over the fact whether its worth to go through DTE now. :s

Yea true. But if you see that lending question, that could have been done otherwise by the simple interest formula. And again gini co'efficient is also covered in stats. So I guess if you have time go through DTE as well. :)
