Doubt regarding DU admission

I'm confused. There are 120 seats for M.A Economics program under Delhi University. Does that mean all these seats are taken by DSE?

Or, is there an even split between the different colleges from these 120 seats? The statements given in the excerpt above is a little confusing for my understanding. Kindly help me with this.

There are just 120 seats on entrance basis regardless of what you are enrolling yourself in

They have written 120 but in reality there are more. ..last year student with general category rank 89 was offered admission...as her score was 40 and I believe the same process might have been for the reserved categories as well

Yes, 120 including reserved ones.
And last year admission was offered to the students with 40 marks because obc seats were converted into general as there was 36 marks criteria for obcs and no more than 14 candidates cleared it while no. of seats available were 30 something.

That's true but .. always 40%  has been the threshold all students securing this are offered admission

All students scoring 40 get admission because there are seats available due to that obc reason or because some people choose isi, everyone getting admission after scoring 40% is not sure but it somehow turns to be.

Yes and moreover there is duplication of candidates who clear both at merit and entrance based ...so somehow it turns out to be true (and obviously after normalisation)

Any idea about normalization, and to what extent it may happen. what is the level of this year question paper, how much normalization can be expected for this year paper. Please throw some light on it.
