Entrance Doubts!

krithika
Hello,
I am a B.A Economics student. I have some doubts regarding the materials to be studied for Entrance Exams in 2015.
First of all, how should my math preparation be? from where do I start? What books do I refer for both math and statistics portions that are required for the exams? Also if available, do post the link from which I can download a free pdf copy of it. For Econometrics, we had it for U.G and we followed Gujarati's basic econometrics book.. will this be enough or do I have to refer any other book?( what all chapters should be refd.?

Does anybody have an e-book or pdf copy for these two books? I tried searching, but couldn't find it. If somebody has it, please either post it here or send it by mail;[hidden email]
1)Mathematical Statistics by Freund
2)Essential Mathematics for Economic Analysis by Sydsaeter and Hammond

For MICRO,MACRO should we refer any other book other than the ones suggested by Amit( in the doc)? Can we refer principles of micro n macro by M.L Jhingan ?

Preparations with all these subjects will be enough to face the entrance right? anything else specific that you all suggest I should go through?( People who have cleared the entrance exams and are pursuing it in premier institutions)

Thank you in advance!

Hey, Krittika

you can try the website- Library Genesis for the books. I'm sure you will find them there.

I'm no expert, but I might suggest going through specific chapters of Economic Survey of this year, to get a hang of current affairs, especially macroeconomic issues.
