If x lies between -0.5 and 0 then what will be the value of [x]

it has null setfor Greatest Integer...becoz GI of [x]=-1....if -0.5<x<0...then it has a null set of this...plz let anyone clarify this...

Hey.
Thanks. This is what I was thinking, but the answer to the above question is -0.5, which makes absolutely no sense. Might be a misprint.

If x lies in [-0.5, 0) then [x]=-1 after all [x] is greatest integer less than or equal to x

Yes Vaibhav and Mrittick are correct I missstated it as least integer function, it shud be x=-1.
