hello, i am second year M.A. Economics student, i have been following the forum from quite some time, can you guys please help me about my following queries abt MPhil -
- how to prepare for MPhil entrances and interview. Are there any specific books or readings to follow like those we had while preparing for M.A. entrances
- What all institutes in India exactly offer MPhil in Economics (and not in development studies or development economics) apart from DSE , JNU
- what does writing a research proposal involve? how do i introspect to get to know the exact topics of areas of research where i am interested in? I am generally interested in subjects like game theory, econometrics, macroeconomics, international economics .
- how should i prepare a research proposal. Here i would specially request kangkan and vandita to pls mail me their research proposals.. it would be really helpful as a guiding and introductory light for me as to clarify as what a good research proposal is . My email id- [hidden email]
-last but not least, since many institutes in India and abroad offer direct PHDs after masters', how should i decide as to apply for MPhil or PHD. What difference would it make in my future career options if i do PHD after masters' or go for the traditional MPhil and then PHD path.
