Help with GIPE!

I have been calling the office quite frequently and the financial rank is still at 117 since the first list came out! I really have no clue why arent they taking the cancellations into consideration?

Yeah I sent them a mail today asking if I should be hopeful of getting a call letter for fin eco and they blatantly told me that sorry but no chances . Ishita with your rank, I think you have chances of getting a call. My rank is 215 . I'm not even sure if that many people are going withdraw or not.

my rank is 154...a friend of mine with a rank 125 got a call for financial...anybody beyond that whose got a call?

When did rank 125 get a call? Today or in the third list.
My rank is 151 and I am also hoping for a call. Fingers crossed.

MSE admissions got over just a day before yesterday so im hoping some people would atleast cancel from gipe because who would want to leave mse for gipe anyway. my senior had told me that its always been the trend ( till last year atleast) that even people getting a rank in 200s get fin eco. you both have secured quite a good position in the merit list so you will get it for sure :)

Hey sakshi..i have a doubt reguarding gokhale..i have received a mail from gokhale reguarding admission in agribusiness economics..i am very confused whether i should go for it as i have no idea about the future prospects of this course..and whether i should take up general eco in amity..

Hey see agri eco and gen eco are two very different course. I really have no idea about how amity is for masters in economic but I have a senior who just passed out from gokhlae and she had done agri eco. She didn't like it so much but it depends from person to person. Just go through the course structure for agri eco once and see if you would like to study the subjects in it. And as for future prospects,  agriculture is quite a huge sector so you would have plenty of job opportunities :)

guys.. my rank was 83, and i'm expecting to get upgraded to gen eco
i also got through sau dev eco. many suggest that i should go for sau. any arguements in favor of gipe???

@ps- hey Take up SAU anyday over GIPE. GIPE is just a name now with very less quality education. Even the placements are not that great in GIPE. Whereas SAU is an upcoming university  and has an amazing faculty and you get a global exposure too plus the campus is really awesome and located in one of the poshest area of Delhi. All the best :)

I had a few questions regd sau:

Is the SAU degree well- recognized, so that my options to study abroad (not just in SAARC countries) remain open?
Dissertation- it limits the option of picking another elective. Also, it tremendous capacity to alter the overall grade since it is spread over two semesters.

suggestions?
