How was GIPE 2017?

Please tell your reviews and how many did you attempt? I felt some questions in Section A were wrong.

I felt that the paper was pretty lengthy this year.. many questions were calculation intensive. That being said , section 1 and 2 were good.

Are all going to get the marks for those questions or just the ones who attempted? I didn't attempt coz I felt I was missing a trick at that moment. It would be unfair if everyone irrespective of attempted or not is not given marks to those wrong questions.

I have the same query...  it will be unfair if we dont get marks for not attempting ! and were you able to do the cards question ? Also , i couldn't keep track of the no. of questions I attempted coz i was pressed for time towards the end.

Exactly right! The paper was too lengthy I had to leave 2-3 questions and yes that 6767 and clock wala question was wrong but same thing, I didn't attempt it too so now what?
This is so confusing really,  they should clear some points at least.

Generally everyone recieves the marks for wrong questions; attempt or no attempt doesn't matter.

Great, Batman. That's huge. Anyway, any idea what would be the expected score that would secure you a position in GIPE?

I was only able to attempt 80 . did everyone attempt way more ?

They don't tell the cutoff marks.I think if we get a rank under 250 we'll get through. And probably a score of around 75 will do it.

a score of 50-55 will get you a 220-230 rank
