IES eligibility (Amit sir please see if you have any idea on this..)
Guys someone quoted the following text from ies website on the forum some days back- " A candidate must possess a post graduate degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics". Now based on this it was concluded that financial economics (from Gokhale) and environmental economics (from Teri) do not clear this eligibility criteria, if I remember that discussion correctly! Now I have seen a LinkedIn profile of someone who's done MA Economics with specialization in World Economy from jnu and has cleared IES after that. Going from the language on ies website even jnu sis should not be eligible for ies because even that's a specialized course in world economy just like environmental/ financial economics are specialized courses! Does that mean even financial and environmental economics are eligible for IES? Please help guys.. I can't make a decision of where to take admission because I don't know what the prospects are going to be after these places!
