It is neither quasi-convex, nor convex. Consider any positive number k, given utility function is not quasi-convex because the set of bundles that offer an individual lower than k level of satisfaction is not a convex set. To see this, plot the indifference curve for k level of satisfaction and observe that the set below the indifference curve is not convex. Since utility function is not quasi convex, it is also not convex.
