Three solutions of the equation f(x)=0 are -2, 0 and 3. Therefore, the three solutions of the equation f(x-2) = 0 are ?

a. -4, -2 and 1
b. -2, 0 and 3
c. 4, 2 and 5
d. 0, 2 and 5

x-2= -2 when x=0
x-2=0 when x=2
x-2= 3 when x=5

take x-2=y ,

f(y) =0 when y is -2,0 and 3,, as function "f" has these three as its zeros,,

so y=-2 implies x= 0
so y=0 implies x= 2
so y=3 implies x= 5

or u can think of any equation like x^2-3x+2....solve it u get the zeroes as 1 and 2.....
now solve for (x-2)^2-3(x-2)+2 nd solve it u get zeroes as 3 nd 4...so in general u just need to add two to all the zeroes to get the  values for second question..just always be careful about the sign..:)
