no i think Ron is correct it shud be 48 only, since nothing is said abt independence.
So, it shud be V(w)=4var(x)+ 9var(y)+2cov(x,y)=8+36+4=48

Hi Vineet..can you please help with 26..from the income side ,the gross income is coming to 880..so i f have to subtract depreciation,it should be 880-30=850..but its not on the list..thanks

depreciation is included in expenditure side. so net domestic product is 780 + 100. is it important to do chi square distribution. not that good in stats, I have done, prob., random variable, expected value, special density and distribution, estimation, sampling, hypothesis, regression and correlation
