Re: JNU ECOM2010 ques 31-40

Arushi :))
hey in hammond , its given for calculation of elasticity of f/g , we need to subtract elasticity of g from elasticity of f.
so dat way
E{f(x)/x}= E(f(x))- E(x)
We know elasticity of f(x) is 0.5 what about elasticity of a variable with respect to itself? I think it would be 1. because %change in x/ %age change in x = 1
So that way ans should be 1-0.5 = -0.5
I hope i am right :/
Btw thanks sonia... i m really happy to have found such people here :) thanku so much :)

for 39 ans is a
let x=.999999....    (1)
multiply by 10 both sides
10x=9.99999....      (2)
subtarct 1 from 2
9x=9
therfore x=1

36.
there are 3 questions each with 4 options.
So each question can be answered in 4 ways giving total no of ways as 4*4*4= 64
No TTT is the only way of getting all correct..
So to fail in getting all answers correct he has to choose 64-1 = 63 ways..
