JNU session

When does the jnu session begin?
The prospectus says it'll begin on 1st Aug, but a friend who asked the admin in college says it'll start on 5th August.
So, which one is it?
Also, does anybody know about the timetable? or if there will be an orientation?

when i went to get the registration done they said in the CESP office that it is 5th august.
if your course is the same ( CESP) then the time table was written outside CESP on the notice board .

CESP.starts their I-sem on 5th Aug. I guess it.is.same for CITD also .

Classes for CITD are starting from 1st august...It was mentioned there in the time table.

hey guys.. congratulations to all those who are joining jnu..
actually my merit rank is 24..and i belong to the NCR region..
so anyone has any idea what are the chances of getting hostel..??
and i don't wanna travel everyday..though only thrice a week..!!

those who won't be getting hostels..what are you guys planning to do..??
