1. Let X and Y be statements. If we know that X implies Y , then we can also conclude that :

3. If the saving propensity is 14 percent , and the incremental capital output ration is 4 , and the population rate of growth is 3 percent , there is crs and no technical progress :
a. warranted rate of growth is greater than the natural rate of growth
b  warranted rate of growth is less than the natural rate of growth
c. the economy will ablways grow at 3 percent rate of growth
d. the economy will always grow at more that 3 percent rate of growth


4 If utensils worth rs 100 are produced with steel worth 50 , wages paid are 10 , depreciation of machinery is 0 and other material purchased is 10 , then value added in the process is :

d 10

1. (d) Since Y is a necessary condition for X, if Y is false, X must be false.

How did u calculate the value addition in question 4 . are the labor and other costs irrelevant in the calculation of value addition ?

Value added = 100 - 50 (cost of steel) - 10 (cost of other material) + 10 (wages paid)

Faizy's most probably right. It's the value added which gets distributed as factor payments. By that logic, the answer should be 40.
