Join GIPE or not?

I got 25 rank in GIPE and got selected but I would rather join IGIDR, JNU or DSE than GIPE. I am really hopeful on my JNU result as I attempted for 88 marks and really confident on their accuracy. But JNU will declare result after 10 July, it usually declares result of MA ECO after 3 to 4 days of tentative date. But GIPE has given 11 or 12 july as document verification date, for which I have to book the train for 10 July from Delhi, and last date for cancellation is 13 July. Also I have to give interview for IGIDR.

Should I join GIPE? Is anybody else facing the same dilemma? If yes, then what are your plans?

Im also facing the same dilemma regarding gipe. I have to choose between gipe and jamia as of now but im also very positive for my JNU entrance exam especially International trade. But i ave decided to join gipe regardless as this is a very good school wit one of the best placement programs. Plus if I do get in JNU then Ill leave gipe even if it risks loosing 31,000 for my collage fees. Also u can cancel your admission after 13 as well but by then you have to risk your fees money. This is my plan, hope it helps.

What about hostel fees, its staggering 65000? Do we have to pay it on the day of document verification, or can we delay it? Have you send the Hostel form?

I gave the Gipe fee as I am pretty sure it will be refunded....there are many in the line for the seats.....Dhruv how are you preparing for IGIDR?

Also what is your preference among IGIDR, DSE and JNU?

Seemingly it should be DSE, IGIDR and then JNU. But intuitively I think its IGIDR, JNU and then DSE. Actually, I am really interested in research and I think that the strength of DSE (232) may prove detrimental to my aims but I am confused. Also it all depends on the results.

You know what i am thinking is to mail jnu admission committee to upload their result because announcing  omr sheet based result doesn't take time. They probably have our results with themselves.
We should all mail jnu (both sss and sis departments) to upload their results before July 1.
Because 31000 means a lot to me, its a real big amount. We are eco people, we know worth of money.

The OMR marking don't take time. Deciding the cutoff and ranking takes time but i guess they must have finished it by now. Yeah we could mail them.

@dhruv my rank is 73..nd my preferance is financial.i have also qualified for hyderabad.but i think il join gokhale financial.and wait for delhi school..even am waiting for JNU.but i was always interested in financial.even the placements are quite good in gipe

Hey, I have a rank of 183 for the 2016 entrance exam of GIPE. When did GIPE send call offers to ranks above 200 in 2015? I saw the 2014 list and the last candidate for Financial Eco is rank 227. But this year, even in the second list, my rank of 183 is not included even for agribusiness economics.

Could you please tell me by when I should expect a call please? Thanks.
