Mankiw book doubt very important!!!

Ditro Raychaudhuri
Guyz!!!
I Read the syllabus of the DSE entrance and saw that the books name is "MACROECONOMICS by MANKIW"
and not PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS by MANKIW.
I checked the books on amazon and they are TWO DIFFERENT BOOKS....... Did you guys know about it??
i have the latter book and was reading it

Mankiw's book named only "MACROECONOMICS", by WORTH PUBLISHERS (not the "principle" one,by Cengage Learning, which you have) is recommended by DSE syllabus.

Actually I would not read it as well as not suggest anyone to read any of these books as they are very elementary. Or, I should say, these books are for sissies.
I think only if you are not comfortable with Dornbusch/Blanchard level, this book should be referred (then also, only cursory look is recommended.)

Beg for more math in your book from authors and that will only help you on DSE, ISI entrance. Try to get Branson's Macro, little old-fashioned, though very amazing and math-rich. Do not waste your money(and time as well) buying another "Mankiw"(though he is amazing professor).

Thanks for , Ditro.

I think though Akshay is right that concepts are asked in any of the entrances, all books I mentioned as good, teach concepts very well using elementary to some extent higher math.

Akshay, will you please let me know if I learn the same concept little mathematically, will not be it (more than) sufficient?
