One small doubt! Please help!

Amita_IITM
I am new here!
I have read this at many places that unlike DSE, ISI exam is more targeted on basics. Meaning, it has very straight forward questions. I have gone through all the sample papers, but since I am not yet done with the entire syllabus, I am not able to judge properly.
Do you feel the same way? If you were to rate the difficulty level, which one would you consider more difficult solely in terms of level of questions in economics. Maths isn’t so much of a concern as I am an IIT student.

Economics difficulty level is almost same in both dse and isi. What might make isi exam difficult is the subjective type paper, but then again you get fair amount of choices in question. Last year we had to do 6 out of 10 questions. And your qualification is totally based on economics paper, as maths part is qualifier.

Oh! alright! Thanks!

And for maths, do I need to go the level of practicing IIT questions, or AIEEE kind will suffice?

The thing is they keep changing pattern every year. And you get to know the pattern only when you are sitting in examination hall, and received your question paper.
last year there was a choice of doing any 6 out of 10.
last to last year there was no limit. Do as much as you can.
but no matter what.  you got to get around 5 questions correct to get interview call.

and about maths part . I havnt seen either iit or aieee paper. Look at the past year paper of isi. What I figured out was if you do every past year question.  Aroung 12-13 questions will just be some tweaked versions of those questions.
Keep in mind that you got to get aroung 21 question right in maths part.
If you dont get that , they wont even check your eco paper.

You can try this link for Freund's solutions:

And the maths section of ISI is not a qualifying paper only; it's just that you require a minimum score in it for your application to be considered. The minimum score is decided on the basis of average performance, as far as I know. It's not true that you have to do 21 questions..a lower number has been enough in the past.
