scorecard says 'general merit rank' . is there a merit rank for each category ?

my rank falls between 60-70 . i am from GEN categrory . is there any chance of me getting into Pondi Univ ?

@eco1234 General rank means in general category. It would not be much different from overall rank. infact in the website it says overall merit list only. u have to be at counselling to know. There are overall 62 seats out of which maximum 50% will be reserved , so 30 seats for general i guess, right Inayah ??

 @ jay dee : hey i spoke to pondi univ admission cell . thy told its the overall rank  , there is no category based rank .  i guess  lot of people will not attend the counselling as they might have got an admit elsewhere ( SAU UoH ) or given interview for other institutes

also , how is the course at pondi ? are the quant courses good ?

mine is 11. total no. of seats is 62. i saw that in the prospectus. i tried calling them, but they are not picking up phone!! and i also saw that classes start on 30/06!! thts so early!!
