if f(x)=Ax^2+Bx+C is such that f(a)=f(b),then what is the value of c in rolle's theorem.

I think c = -B/2A if c is in b/w a and b

the answer is c=(a+b)/2.
But how???I'm not getting this.

Hi Sonia..i think the answer is incomplete.. i am assuming A,B,C are real...then changing the value of C will only shift the curve up or down.If the property f(a)=f(b) was there ,it will still hold.Hence ,an unique C is not implied by f(a)=f(b) in case of a real quadratic function..thats my take
