Can anyone suggest any diploma or certificate course in Economics or Finance that saves a gap year?(at a reasonable cost)
|

Please visit Ignou webiste. Ignou is famous for diploma/certificate courses.
Moreover, you can visit Mba college website, a lot of them provides one year diploma course in finance/or any other field in you are interested. |

A diploma never saves a gap year. But yes these courses will enrich your knowledge for sure. Moreover if you are research oriented , gap year does not count much. But yes , for people who go for MBA or specifically corporate jobs , gap year is given a lot importance.

If u are interested in finance try cfa. Or for inexpensive and certified knowledge look into nse website. They offer many short term certificate courses for a reasonable price.
Also do some course in Business Analytics and learn few softwares like sas/r/stata/spss. These are quite useful for both research and corporate jobs. Initially doing some 2-3 months internship might help too. |

Hi..!!
I have an engineering background graduated in 2011. Can anyone tell me whether analytics and post-graduation in economics from ISI/DSE have some corelation. I mean, learning these softwares like SAS and then going into analytics profilefor job. Will ISI/DSE add to it or it would totally be a field change. Plz reply if anyone has any idea. |
|
hI Nipun,
Analytics is very different from Quantative economics program being offered in ISI or MA economics from DSE...Analytics is mainly Statistics based and involve learning of SAS, R etc, while ISI program is economics centric and mathematical based application of economic models in thery. If you wish to make Career in DATA Analytics search for various other programs being offered in India and abroad... Also there is great deal of programs online like jigsaw foundation, nivt etc. Hope it helps! Best Regards Priyesh Jain |
