f be defined for all x in [1,-1] by
f(x)=x, for x belonging to (-1,1)
      0, for x=1, -1
a. does f attain maximum n minimum values in [-1,1]?
ans.. NO
b. is f continous for all x in [-1,1]?
ans.. not at -1 and 1
