and why should we choose igidr? (dis is often asked)

this was asked in one of the interviews...the direction of the slope vector when maximising using lagrange's multiplier...
i tried finding out but no luck so far

can u think of the answer?

At least you can say slope vector (gradient vector: if you mean so)  should be parallel to constraint plane [or tangent to  curve in case of curve)

i just copy pasted this question from sumone who had posted this earlier as a question tht was asked to him....and i m not sure what it means though if it was the gradient vector thing then ur answer seems right!
