Among 25 articles , nine are defective,six have only minor defects nd three have major defects..determine the pr that an article selected at random has major defects given that it has defects??
M confused that is h refering to all defective articled that are 18 in number or just the 9 defective ones???

probability{it has major defect given that it has a defect}
=  p(it has major defect intersection it is having defect)/p(it is HAVING DEFECT)
=  (3/25) divided by (9/25)
= 1/3

i think answer should be 1/3

total defect= 9( major + minor defect)
