 OBC category seats get converted if students do not meet the cuttoff but except obc rest of the category seats wil get converted only when students do not meet the eligibility criteria because generally there is no cuttoff or very low cuttoff for students of reserve category excluding OBC.

hey viv in MSE there are 85 seats vacant after researved category students had taken admission so is can it be possible to covert these seats for general category i just want to ask if anything lyk this happened in any university in past

it wil be converted.. i ws in counseling... They told tht it would be converted if any seats left vacant. but the preference will be given to higher rank holder first coz some of them did not get their preference and it will also be beneficial for those who are in wait list prepared on the 15th.

ya i was also there in d councelling session but they said it will not be converted they bluntly told us it is against the law...

on which day u wr there... whatever i heard and I know by my experience I hv told you... So cannot say or predict tht much on their admission policy..

85 seats of reserved category are vacant ? On 15th , a girl with a score of 64 was not given even environment . The competition has definitely increased so much.

@Anjali I dnt know 85 seats are left.. but they hv uploaded list of admission  in various courses at mse this yr.. from this u cn get exact number of vacant seats..

you can see 85 seats are lft vacant
and i was also on 15th @viv but they refused to convert seats, but if seats get converted as u say it will be beneficial for every1

Dude!!! they denied to convert seats on the very same day but tht does not mean they will not convert seats in future. I believe atleast OBC seats will get converted. 15th ws d day for reserved category admissions and 61-65 marks students but general category seats wr already full.. so noone got admission from general category and tht point of the time how many students wud get admission from reserved category cudnt be estimated.... so they decided to intimate students separately if any vacancy available in near future...
I think we hv discussed enough on this topic so better wait & watch and be calm too.. :-):-)

If the seats do get converted.. a lot of students are gonna benefit!!
In fact, everyone present for the second counselling would be through!!
I just hope nd pray they do that!
