Let x and y be statements. If we know that x implies y then we can conclude that
1. X is true and y is also true.
2.if x is false then y is false.
3. If y is true then  x is true.
4. If y is false then x is false.
Plz tell me the method to solve these type of qsn....

Consider this, let x be the statement that "it will rain tomorrow" and y be the statement "roads will be waterlogged"

For such questions u can use venn diagrams
X implies Y ...it means that the happening of event X will automatically imply that Y has already taken place but it doesnt say anything when X has not taken plcae, In this case we really dont no whether Y is true or false. So, nothin can be said when X is false.
This means that event X must be a subset of event Y (draw a circle named X inside a circle named Y)

Now with the help of above circles we can also conclude that "not happening of event Y implies that X will also not hapen"....negation of Y implies negation of X
