Swopenesh replied it correctly.
For a given area, the first two digits are always the same so there is only one way..For the third place, zero cant come So, 9 ways to fill the third place and after that 10 ways.
Thus, there will be
1*1*9*10*10*10*10*10 different telephone numbers.

And it would be given in the question if repitition is not allowed.
