The equation of the line between x and y would be:
y= -1/2x+C
Don't confuse it with -1/2 . it is the regression coefficient and not correlation coefficient.
Moreover,
According to scatterplot, If we get a downward sloping straight line it implies perfect negative correlation with r= -1.
