Approach towards q1-
Put f(x) = 8
Solve for x
x^6 +5x^4 +2 = 8
x^6 + 5 x^4 = 6
x= +- 1

Take the derivative
f'(1)= 6x^5 + 20x^3
At x=1 , f'= 26
Therefore f^-1 = 1/f' = 1/26
