Could somebody throw light on what is expected by the examiners in the essay section ?. For example, last year the paper asked to analyse whether a decline in currency in circulation leads to a decline in economic activity in the country.
In such a case, are we expected to give rounded off figures on the results of a recent experience like demonetisation coupled with the currency multiplier to show how when currency is sucked out of the economy, there is a change in the money supply which causes the Lm curve to shift and short run equilibrium output to change. Do they expect diagrams and formulae of the explained part as well ?.

Any inputs from seniors or from students who are in touch with seniors would be really helpful.
