Which kind of internships and  certificates can we take in the 1 year gap.
Also, what kind of certificates are provided by IGNOU??

I dont have any certificates. I went around teaching elementary to college level math at different times of the year. I'm afraid if I'd be able to produce certificates for the same. Many companies offer internships but depends upon your domain or background. If you are an engineer, just move to Bangalore or Bombay, you will find a hell lot of companies seeking interns. If you have an econ background, it makes more sense to work for government departments, like I have a friend who had been doing his six month internship at Telangana Development Authority if I have not gone wrong.

Yes even I have planned to take a year off. Missed IGIDR marginally and am planning for self preparation and certificate course. IGNOU offers certain foundation courses like Post graduate diploma in applied statistics but unfortunately it is unavailable at it's centre at my place. Plus, Coursera has a good number of short term certificate courses in economics' major areas like econometrics etc. Hope to judicially utilise this year for some good outcome.
