DSE Results??

Yea as per the bulletin of information they will release the RESULTS of all pg entrances from 7-12

So for he DSE, like last year, we can probably expect the rank/marks list.

They put up roll number and marks in ranked order last time.

But, it's already the 10th and not even a single of course has put their results up yet, so I wouldn't be surprised if the rank/result list for the entrance comes out late this time.

The official "first list" won't come out before 13th though.

I don't get why they've asked for our marks, does it affect the entrance - based merit list in anyway ?. Also are they asking the best of five for both undergrad as well as boards ?

Best of 5 for just boards I believe.

I think it will only affect the tie breakers, I mean if you have the same entrance score as someone else, your rank is then set based on your UG marks. This is written somewhere I believe, don't remember where exactly.

People are saying between 105 to 115. When are the results out?  and the merit list?  any idea

Also, isnt 105 too high? A straight jump from 40% to 55%?

I called du admissions.

They said by the end of this week the results will be out.

DSE doesn't handle the process, but they said that the first day of college is 20th July for sure and there's no way that will change.

I think by Saturday or Sunday latest it'll be out.

I know 5-6 people who have scored 140+ and haven't been shortlisted for isi or igidr. So cutoffs will be high this year

Oh I had not expected that.

I know 7ish people shortlisted for igidr or ISI who calculated scores in the 110-130 range based on the answer key.
The ones shortlisted for ISID scored in the 120-130 range.

That's quite a number of people too who have scores way above amit sir's estimate for the cut off (115 on the higher end of his estimate I think).

These people did apply for ISI or IGIDR right? :P

I have 130 and I was fairly confident about making the cut off till I read this.

These people calculated scores based on either of the answer keys right?

I'd have guessed Amit sir's estimate was reasonable but then 30ish students is quite a lot, what's the distribution of these students like?

I'm wondering if sir is using some amount of pre-50% merit quota intuition :P
