MA (Econ) - EligibilityNote 1) Point 2(b) in Link (1) says "All the Faculties/Departments except the Faculties/Departments offering Inter-disciplinary or professional courses, shall earmark 50% of the total intake to be filled by direct admission of the students of University of Delhi and remaining 50% of the admission through entrance test plus interview, if any."
Note 2) Point 3 in Link (2) defines Inter-disciplinary or professional courses as "Inter-disciplinary or professional courses for the purpose of admission to the post graduate/ Masters courses shall include the courses for which candidates from all the streams/subjects shall be eligible for admission"
Note 3) Link (3) tell us that anyone with "First Class with 60% or more marks in Graduate/Post-graduate degree in any other subject from the University of Delhi or any Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi" is eligible for admission.
So Note 2) and Note 3) implies that MA(Economics) is an Inter-disciplinary or professional course. So, by Note 1) the rule of 50% is not applicable.
