Hi rani, I haven't read Devore.. But yes, can definitely say that Freund is an awesome book and clears the concepts of stats pretty well

Freund is less mathematical and doesn't delve deeper into the subject by going another mile in explaining the concepts. wackerly does that throughout the book, clears the air of confusion one step at a time. Solutions to the numericals are available in pdf format online. Freund is pretty good and has a religious following, I think wackerly is based on Freund's mathematical statistics but more explanatory which helps us a long way.

Yr I firstly read Hammond which is pretty good and then, I didn't find anything "new" in AC Chiag which I purchased just 20 days before DSE exam..
Yes, but for self- satisfaction, you may buy AC Chiag..
Yes, also when u read the same concepts in a different manner, then helps to memorise those  same concepts well.

Mathematical Analysis by Apostol is the best book for Maths. We even had a question from that book this year. And, 2 question from partial derivatives the previous year.
