It seems that there has been a change of policy regarding giving calls ..... to the best of my knowledge ..... international economics offers in the first iteration have been given till about 65th rank ..... if you compare this with last year in the first offer .... they had given offers for msc eco till 65th rank
if you go through their traditional record of admissions you find students getting 200+ rank being admitted to msc financial economics in the open category .... post the final iteration
Looking at the merit list ... one can make a general observation that international economics is the third preference after eco and financial eco ..... so you still have a fair chance for international at 183 ...... hope that they open up the admissions in the second and third list
What have you been offered with 47th rank?
Last time msc gen was offered till 73rd rank in the first round itself, you can seethat if you browse thru prev years threads.
But this time they are offering 20+ gen category seats for each course in the first round.
There are people whose ranks are 80+ but hey are being offered agribusiness even though it is there second choice!!
So I m confused as to what is their admission policy?!
I just tried to analyse the result and tried to guestimate the ranks for each programme -
1 to 25 general eco
26 to 45 financial eCo
46 to 65 international eco
66 to 95 agribusiness eco
so beyond 80 irrespective of the order of your preference ...... you get agribusiness .... if you had marked it in the form
From those who have been alloted gen and fin eco ..... I found that around 15 names feature in merit or waiting lists of other institutes like igidr , cds , isi etc ..... after jnu results this number could rise further and probably admissions would be opened up in gokhale
Well you have done some thorough research dude!
One of my friends is there in Gipe and she said last time call offers for gen went up till 100th rank atleast .
So you can be sure of your seat in Gen.
Well which is better acc to you gen eco or financial.?
