it was ok. i did 80-85 questions. i could spot a couple of my mistakes after marking the answers but i cudnt change them. that was really bad.

Weird with a capital 'W'. :| May sound paradoxical but it would have been better if it were outright bad; not knowing how my exam went makes me feel all the more stupid. *headdesk*

I did around 81-82 questions with one or two semi-educated guesses. Any idea what the cut off trend has been over the past few years?

Re: JNU Review

Rain Man
the seats in MA Eco General are in the ballpark of 70 ( including reserved seats ) while the same is 20 for World Eco.

Not sure about the cut-offs.

No Gk at all...?? and i sat and wasted time learning up the Indian economy's sectoral composition!! The paper was so so. Even I had the same problem .. I found some of my answers to be wrong.. but I could do nothing. - ball point pen concept sucks.

Yeah that 'no-gk' thing was kind of a shocker. i guess that'll raise the cut-off :|

i attempted around 85 questions..n did silly mistakes in few of them..but so sorry, could not change my answer in this ballpoint concept of marking answers...was surprised to see d paper...full of logic and maths..very little eco..n no GK...(now why did i study GK for JNU..huhhh!!!)...
in my view, cutoff should be around 70-72..its a pure guess!!!

@ Vasudha - Umm, its sort of tough to relax. Like the previous year questions were different right ? Like there was economics in majority. And here, back in orissa where i belong to, our course is entirely different, its more of theory.. So u can understand my disappointment.

Re: JNU Review

bisht
2010 when negative marking was 1/2 ,,cut off was 61.5
2011 negative marking was 1/4 and cut off was 65.3

nw this time i think it will be around 62-63,,question paper was quite different and last year question were nt thr,,,and one f..... thing that almost all questions had the option NONE OF THE ABOVE,, ----- use of ballpoint was nt in favr of candidts,,,

yes a.m, they changed the pattern this year. but don't worry. take a year off, get hold of the basic textbooks used in delhi university, and give it a shot again :)
see i'm doing economics honours from du and yet i'll barely, if at all, clear the cut-off. only a fraction of the aspirants will get selected, but that doesn't mean the others r not gonna do anything good with their lives.. :)
