Hey Guys i got through Jnu SSS, and my score in cucet is 78.. so assuming that i get selected for MSE and given the fact that i am more bent towards the corporate sector.. what to do..??
Can anyone tell me about the placements from Jnu SSS..haven't heard much..though placements at MSE are pretty good..
I have also heard the same... MSE has got a good placement record... But SSS ... Haven't heard much about it ... :/
Your score is 78 .. That's pretty high !! Congratulations !
Are the MSE results out ?
@Masterpiece - thank you so much for your reply.. would you mind if i ask you which college you did your M.A.Eco from..?? only if you are comfortable..!! ya i agree you can't compare placements..and in the end it is your knowledge that fetches you money..very well said..indeed..!! :)
One of my senior who first took admission in MSE then went to Hyderabad university said-"MSE is over hyped".
Also if you look at their placement track of 2011 only citi offered the package of around 10 lakhs for just two people, two or few companies offered package of around 7 lakhs to around 4 people. Also remember the mean salary package was just 5.8(approx) which a good economics graduate at DU can easily get.
@Rizwan - yeah i went through the placement guide.. but my point is that companies do drop in for placements there.. but Jnu, due to it's much hyped political scenario, not much companies drop by.. and also i am not into the research aspect much.. so that's why i am confused..!! Do you have any idea regarding the placements from Jnu..??
its a fact that MSE is over hyped.u cant even think of comparing JNU with MSE. the faculty, the campus life, the environment plus services like hostel, fooding, library and internet are some of the awesome things u gonna get in JNU.my professor who was from MSE(m.sc eco) and did PHD from JNU said that u gonna learn some real economics at JNU.plus corpoartes do give much value to a JNU degree.
but since your aim is to get good placement, then u can always go for MSE because it boasts of some really good placements.
