Re: Jnu sss 2015

Sir,
For the second question in JNU 2015 SIS, is the answer A or D? When we calculate per capita income, should we take NNP or GDP? Only if we take GDP will their per capita incomes be the same right? Otherwise it would be different right? So is it A or D?

And for the 3rd question in the same question paper. Is it not C?

I am not sure if it is correct but I am getting the answer for question 11 as D. I just calculated it as a decreasing AP for one month and then calculated for the whole year. Though I am not getting exact 1500. it's 1550. Can anybody confirm it please.

Hi!
For 21, will the real exchange rate have actually appreciated by 15% because of the 5% relative inflation?

Please explain a small thing to me. In reference to question 21, when we say 'exchange rate of INR relative to India's trading partners' do we mean cost of 1 indian rupee in terms of foreign currency or cost of 1 unit of foreign currency in terms of indian rupee?

These are the easiest problems that are asked in this paper. I am amazed that no one here could help you on these :

A 39 (b)

A 40 (a)

Let C denote final consumption expenditure, I denote the Gross Fixed Capital Formation, D denote change in stocks, X be exports, M be Imports and Y be the GDP.

The answer follows from solving this equality twice, separately for both the years:

C+I+D+X-M = Y

For Q 3: (d) Neither of the above
For Q 30: (b) Mutually exclusive
For Q 56: (a) 16%  [If X is normal with mean (m) = 60 and standard deviation (s) = 20, then Pr(X>m+s) = Pr(X>80)  = 0.16]
