i m basically doing ba economics. but have no maths and stats as minor. so can anyone tell me how much of maths and stats is required to crack gokhale ma eco entrance paper?? basics till 12th is sufficient?? what abt JNU??
also plz suggest the books to refer..

hey i too have a dought although the total number of seats are 50 each in FE,GE and AQF and 30 in remaining two but each year students list in the site clearly shows that out of 210 only 120 are admitted why so?

Hi Vikram !
Gokhale doesn't involve extensive mathematics ( 12 th level sufficient - but better if you practice mathematical economics too ) . However , one should have a command over statistics. The questions revolve mainly around micro and macro concepts. Quant questions , like basic profit and loss , AP/GP/HP , percentage , series based logic questions are also observed. Lastly , an essay writing comes. For that go through IED syllabus of your course structure ( other topics can be availed if you search on this forum - previous posts have those topics ) . Btw , do DU office people accept form on showing the photocopy of PC or original dikhana mandatory hai ?
And can this whole thing be resolved by post ( along with a dd of 500 ) ?

No, You hv to go to ur college as well as north campus... Taking Migration means u r leaving DU. So u r not waiting for DSE results...

you no need to show PC while getting Migration because everyone knows tht each college and department issues PC. You take migration form fill it then go to ur UG clg attest this with your principal and submit to the north campus examination branch...

I did not give DSE
But someone on this forum said that the original copy of PC has to be shown first at that north campus window , and then its photocopy has to be given along with the migration forum.

Why u didn't sit for dse ?
Suppose You get SSS (JNU) so wht will be ur preference between JNU n MSE??

I do not find myself compatible with the rigorous course content of DSE. Plus , the mad fight for passing even a single semester , is something that I really cant digest. So I didn't prepare for it from the start. I was aiming at IGIDR , but unfortunately couldn't qualify that.
And as far as JNU is concerned , let the result come first !!

I have lost my admit card of MSE. And the link on website has also expired. What should i do ?  Its compulsory to carry admit card for councelling.

But on counselling MSE people will retain the PC . So in that situation , one should visit that window before 14th . But I don't have that much time. Will saturday work for submission ?
