Preparation time

Cermank
First off, Thank you Akshay for the study guide (http://economicsentrance.weebly.com/uploads/1/1/0/5/1105777/study_guide.pdf). It's helping me immensely.

I'm almost done with my Bachelors in Economics (this being the last semester), and have very recently started studying studiously for the entrance. I was talking to some friends who have been studying since a year for this, and while discussing- they said that the stuff I was going through (RD Sharma, and some other stuff) was very basic, and at this point of time I should rather pick up Sydsaeter and Hammond and all the 'serious stuff'. I'm not sure if I should pay heed to this, but I also don't want to be left with less time and too much course.

Do they have a point? Should I skip RD sharma and AC Chiang and pick up Hammond? Is the course too large to be completed in 4-5 months?

in my opinion do not practice too much R.D sharma...just give a quick revision to what u hav done in 11-12th (only topics that are mentioned in study guide)....but spend time in reading chiang and practicing hammond simultaineously.....

i want to add here..see 4- 5 months are enough only if ur 1st n 2nd yr concepts are cleared..nyways..time is LESS..
do a very systematic study..
organise ur daily schedules..
focus more on solving ques angoodd dont forget to revise ur concepts.
do past year pprs atleast 2 times

study guide is really effective if u follow it seriously..

forget about which BOOKS to refer n which not to...go thru the prescribed books by DU..Practice loads of ques...whai i mean is-jab tc u nt confident abt ny concept ..keep on doing ques to get a gud grip ...
