i agree that's a great book.
quite exhaustive it is.
its a ''fat'' one. if u buy it , u can do the examples. i think that should be more than enough.

I have fundamentals of statistics by S.C Gupta. So I guess the book by S.C Gupta and V.K Kapoor is different? And I just googled is it the fundamentals of mathematical statistics?

Hi maulli...SC gupta & V.K kapoor are same books or different ?...In Sc gupta
there r only Normal,poison distributions or one or two more ....I dont know about VK kapoor
I too want stuff on distributions.....Its not enough in SC gupta....

Exactly. It barely touches that topic. And there are not many variety of questions. Does anyone have soft copy of the book by Gupta and Kapoor? Then please share it. It will be very helpful. :)

Mathematical stats is also not the one.

There is a book called Fundamental of Statistics- S.C gupta. fat book and publishiing house is himalaya.
it has all ditributions.

the one you are talking about is fundamental of statistics by SC GUPTA.  
the books are different. both are good.
the first one is more advanced. and to solve the pdf cdf questions its one of the best!

when you see it abhyudaya you will realise how different it is from the basic SC GUPTA book which you are talking about.

I hope I find this book. As I dont see any online option of buying it or pdf for that matter. :(
And I had been doing the fundamentals by S.C Gupta, so now I see why I could never get a grip over pdf and cdf. :(

arya book agency or jain book agency .
but , first you call them and ask.
u can take the phone no.s of various book agencies from just dial and ask.

Hi Maulli......can u answer a very simple n silly doubt of mine

how to post a question same as given in dse paper...means which looks
like exactly in the exam paper form...
I do ctrl c and paste it here but that is not easy to comrehend...
Posting as if question looks ditto as the original one as of the paper...like a scanned one...

I tried my best to explain what I want...U must have got it...
Crux is how to post a DSE question which is easily understandable form? :) :)
